Community
Life is not another ministry program to add to your already overcrowded
schedule. Instead, it is a way of life that combines a multiplicity
of "life circles" into one simple and seamless circle
full of life, ministry and authentic relationships. In other words,
Community Life happens right where you live!
Community Life is less about exclusively Christian relationships
that occur on the church campus and more about a blend of relationships
that occur minutes from your front door. The Immanuel campus is
the place where we "train on the corner to reach the community
for Christ." The neighborhood is where we begin living out
our faith.
What is Community Life? It's a place to belong, believe,
become and go beyond!
In a world where real friendships and connected relationships are
hard to find, IBC Communities provide a fresh alternative to isolation
and loneliness, which are common experiences in our culture. God
created us for community, with a desire to belong.
The truth is we need each other. We need the person next door and
they need us. God created us to relate to different people in a
variety of settings, from those in our family to the stylist who
cuts our hair.
IBC communities are safe places for you to explore your spiritual
questions, discover Jesus, and begin your relationship with Him.
No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, you are welcome
in our community of faith. Come and explore with us!
Our desire is to become more like Jesus. We believe God designed
us so that life transformation happens best within the context of
community. We grow and experience the fullness of Christ by doing
life together with others who passionately run after God.
Spiritual formation takes place in cooperation with the Holy Spirit.
Inside Community Life you will find small group Bible studies for
men, women, couples and students, seminars and classes, fellowship
gatherings, recreational opportunities, service and compassion projects,
mission trips, and more. And it's all happening near where you live!
Of course the body of Christ at Immanuel gathers every weekend
for dynamic corporate worship and the preaching of God's holy word.
As a missional community of Christ followers, our goal is to fulfill
the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations while living
out the Great Commandment by loving the Lord our God with all our
heart, soul and mind, and our neighbor as our self.
